Is There An Age That's "Too Old" for Weight Training?

Is there a point where adults become too old to strength train? Perhaps there’s a point where strength training carries more risk than benefit, or is there a point where adults can no longer gain strength, muscle, or improve balance?

If a person doesn't have a unique or severe health issue, there is no “cut-off” age for strength training. People can start strength training at any age.

The greatest evidence for this is a study in Denmark. Adults between 85 and 97 years old participated in a three-month strength training study. In the study, the man and women strength trained three times per week. What happened? At the end of three months, muscle size increased by 10% and strength increased by 37%! The training was also safe: no injuries were reported during the study!
